The market is currently going through a flat period. Home prices are not really going up or going down. The saving grace in Anchorage, is the balance of supply and demand. There is still a lack of inventory, which is stifling supply of homes in all price ranges, while a normal demand for homes, people need places to live after all, is creating a balance in the market. The bottom line is, it is not a bad time to sell as there is still a lack of inventory, although it is taking a while longer on market, and it is not a bad time to buy, as rates remain low, and sellers are offering an ever so slight discount if on market longer. Spring has sprung!
